Introduction to Wine Chemistry
In this course you will learn about the chemical processes within the production of wines. Through laboratory exercises you will receive hands-on experience through exercises that include measurement, solution preparation, introduction to chemical reactions, concentration and pH, and the properties of water, must, and wine. You will also learn the proper handling and application of certain types of chemicals used in wine production. A prior understanding of basic chemistry concepts is recommended for successful completion; some review of key concepts will be provided.
