Sign Language (ASL) Level IV
This course further covers the development of complex conversation in the American Sign Language (ASL), including cultural and linguistic information of deaf people. The content covers fingerspelling, ASL terminology, expressive and receptive vocabulary, sentence structure, and conversational signs. This course incorporates the D.E.M. (Direct Experience Method). The ultimate goal is to help students to become comfortable in maintaining the conversation with deaf people using the sign language communication. This course will be conducted entirely in ASL. Speaking with ones voice is not permitted in the classroom.
