FRENCH: Conversational - Level III

Course Code: LANG1073C

Intended for those students who have completed French grammar levels I to VI, or the equivalent, as well as Conversational French II. The learning process now continues through the practice of oral communication in everyday activities in a French setting: shopping; going to the restaurant, the post office and the bank; asking for and giving directions; making appointments, and so on. Methods of instruction will include information sharing, discussions, listening activities and role-playing. A review of grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure and idiomatic expressions will occur as needed. The program will incorporate themes such as French Canadian history, taking a trip (from the planning stage to reporting on return), French Canadian arts (music, cinema, literature), and current events (via newspapers, radio, television and the Internet).
