Tea Regions of the World
This course examines the principal tea-growing regions of the world. Students will develop a fundamental understanding of the history of tea and its influence on culture and world events. Students will taste teas that are representative of each region, including China, India, Japan, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Taiwan, and learn about traditional tea ceremonies from various countries. Students will continue to develop their tasting skills through multiple cuppings/tastings. TEA 102 (through the Tea and Herbal Association of Canada) is considered an equivalent.
