Food Preparation - Basic
You will be given an opportunity to break down an entire recipe and learn how each ingredient contributes to the whole creation. You will prepare simple dishes that directly relate to specific cooking techniques and, also, how to make them into attractive food presentations. All of the recipes in this course were designed to be used frequently in health care food service kitchens by relying on common weights and measures and on common food items. You will also learn how to make various food substitutions because of dietary restrictions or for your own creative interest.
