Payroll Fundamentals I
How to prepare payroll for individuals is the focus of this course. The learner will gain an understanding of the complexities of preparing individual payrolls and how to communicate all aspects of individual pay requirements to all stakeholders. In addition, the learner will discover how to calculate regular and non-regular individual net pay, termination payments and ROE. NOTE: The tuition fee payable to Niagara College does not include the CPA material and exam fees. Students must register with both Niagara College and the Canadian Payroll Association at least two weeks prior to the start date in order to receive the material and textbook in time for the first class. In order to receive credit towards CPA designation - Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification, students will be required to attain a minimum grade of a 65%.
