About Inside Niagara

Inside Niagara is a weekly live News Magazine show produced by second year Niagara College Broadcasting students. From Grimsby to Fort Erie, each episode of Inside Niagara takes viewers on an exciting ride thru the Niagara Region. Each show includes regional News, Sports and Entertainment. Weekly features take the viewer to interesting places and introduce them to some of the regions most interesting places.

Inside Niagara is a partnership between Niagara College’s Broadcasting - Radio, Television and Film department and TVCOGECO. The weekly live broadcast is used as a learning tool for students enrolled in the Broadcasting Program. Second year Television Production and Presentation students learn how to report, present, shoot, organize and control a live news magazine show. Each week forty nine students work to put the show together. A team of faculty guide the students to create a professional, entertaining, and high-quality broadcast.

From February until the middle of April, Inside Niagara airs live every Thursday at noon and repeats at 7:30pm and again Sundays at 12:30pm. Inside Niagara, The Webcast is a companion to Inside Niagara. Each week students compile a 7 minute version of the program that is available on the Internet. The webcast is targeted towards the Niagara College community and includes news, sports and features from in and around the college. The webcast is also used as a learning tool, introducing students to the emerging multi-media broadcasting field.
