Donations are needed for NC’s second annual Student Career Clothing Drive, which will be taking place in the new year.

Staff at the Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership, and Career Services are rolling up their sleeves once again to organize the clothing drive, which will take place at the Welland Campus on Wednesday, January 17 (Applied Health Foyer) and at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus on Thursday, January 18 (location TBD).

The clothing drive will help students put their best professional image forward by providing them with an alternative option to buying expensive clothing. It not only aims to educate students about what clothing is appropriate and inappropriate for interviews and jobs their chosen industry, but to help them present themselves well without straining their finances.

Staff and faculty are encouraged to look through their closets for any used professional clothing, shoes and accessories – and ask family and friends to do the same.

Any leftover clothing from the drive will be donated to Goodwill Niagara.

Clothing donation drop-off locations

Welland Campus: Donations can be dropped off in L20. Please note that the drop-off location will change in the new year.

NOTL Campus: Donations may be dropped off in W115.

Please wash clothing donations prior to dropping off, if possible.
