Niagara College Waste Training

We are happy to announce that Niagara College has retained a new waste hauler as of July 2017. Waste Management was the successful bidder and has been working closely with Niagara College staff to improve our current Waste Management System. On September 5th, we will complete the transition to a single-stream recycling program, which will be reflected in the signage and what is accepted in the bins at our hallway waste stations.

To better prepare staff and faculty for the changes coming to the waste system, Niagara College’s Office of Sustainability will be holding two waste training sessions; the first in Niagara-on-the-Lake (SAC Activity Room – N002) on Wedesnday, August 23rd from 9:00am-10:00am and the second in Welland (IC209) on Thursday, August 24th from 9:00am-10:00am. These training sessions are open to all college staff and faculty; if you are interested in attending please contact Amber Schmucker, Sustainability Engagement Officer (aschmucker@niagaracollege.ca).
