Dressed head-to-toe in self-made traditional First Nations dress, one NC student brought her two-year program to a close in style. Graduate of the Community and Justice Services program Carolyn Day accepted her second diploma from Niagara College on June 21 during the 10 a.m. ceremony at the College’s Welland campus.
Day is a very active member of the Niagara College community, lending her hand to a variety of Indigenous activities happening on the campus. Day continues to be an active member throughout the Niagara region as an active member of the Niagara Native Women’s Centre.
Day will be continuing here at the College as a CJS Program Advisory Committee. The graduation day was also National Aboriginal Day, making Day’s outfit even more fitting.
