At the sixth annual Niagara Sustainability Initiative Evening of Recognition on May 29, Niagara College’s green team was honoured for its commitment to the environment and was named Most Engaged Member.

Recently, Niagara region’s two largest environmental non-profit organizations – Greening Niagara and NIS – joined forces for environmental sustainability. The merger, under the name of NIS, establishes the group as the largest independent environmental non-profit in the region, with a focus to creating new opportunities for collaboration between the public and private sectors, community groups and residents who want to see improvement in Niagara’s environmental sustainability.
