Visit artisan marketplace April 2, country celebration April 8 to support Many Hands Project

Tickets are available for two  upcoming fundraisers planned by Event Management students to support this year’s Many Hands Project.

On April 2, Life N Style Niagara will be held at Club Italia (Niagara Falls) between noon and 5 p.m. The unique marketplace will feature local artisans, DIY workshops, a fashion show, local cuisine and wine.  Tickets are $5 and may be purchased in advance and at the door. Children 10 and under are admitted for free.

On April 8, A country celebration, Cowboy Boots and Hometown Roots, will be held at Club Castropignano (Port Robinson) from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Hosted by Country 89, the event will feature  Brad Battle and special guest Ashlynne Vince, and DJ By Request. Southern comfort food, local whiskey, wines and craft beer, a candy bar and a cash bar. There will be country-themed activities throughout the evening as well as a mystery record raffle and silent auction. Tickets are $25. Call 905-641-2252 ext. 6408 or email bootsandrootsnc@gmail.com.

The recipient of this year’s Many Hands Project is Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre. All proceeds of the Many Hands Project will support the creation of Hotel Dieu Shaver’s Marketplace where therapists aim to rehabilitate patients by incorporating real-world obstacles such as shopping, banking and dining out.

This is the 20th year of the College’s Many Hands Project, aimed at assisting non-profit organizations in the Niagara region. The student-driven project is executed by the College’s Event Management, and Construction Renovation Technician students.
