Cheer on Niagara’s bid for Canada Summer Games at Livestream Viewing Party March 30

Niagara are you in?

The Niagara College community and all Niagara is invited to show their support for Niagara’s 2021 Canada Games bid on Thursday, March 30 when the Canada Games Bid Evaluation Committee will announce the winning host community.

As the announcement takes place in Toronto, the Niagara Bid Group has made arrangements for a Niagara viewing party at the First Ontario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines.

Join the Niagara 2021 Bid Group ‘Catch the Spirit’ of the 2021 Canada Summer Games at the Livestream announcement. The event is being held to celebrate Niagara and all the work that has gone into the bid and watch the announcement together.

It will be held at FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the streaming is scheduled to begin at 11:25 a.m.

Attendees are encouraged to dress the part with a Canadian theme.

With the Games taking place every two years – alternating between summer and winter events on a rotating schedule for the host province and territory – Ontario is next in line to host the Summer Games in 2021. Niagara is among four communities bidding to host the event, along with Ottawa; the City of Greater Sudbury; and the combined cities of Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge.
