World renowned prodigy artist Josh Tiessen is coming to Niagara College.
Tiessen will visit the College’s Welland Campus on Wednesday, October 19. He will conduct a guest lecture and painting technique demonstration for Art and Design Foundation students (2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in room S135) and his work will be on display in a gallery setting in the AHI foyer from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The College community is welcome to stop by and meet the artist in the gallery from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and view some of his latest work. His prints and original works will be available for purchase at the gallery (AHI).
About Josh Tiessen
Tiessen was juried in as the youngest member of International Guild of Realism (IGOR) ranked among foremost realist artists from around the world, and Artists for Conservation (AFC) an elite group of the top 500 wildlife and nature artists worldwide. Mentored by masters such as acclaimed wildlife artist Robert Bateman, Tiessen has exhibited his work for nine years in 50 exhibitions including the National Gallery of Canada and now exhibits internationally.
