New procedure for peer tutoring

With the introduction of Co-Curricular Record at Niagara College, Peer Tutoring has implemented a new procedure. Students can now fill out Tutor and Learner applications on-line.

Please advise students who are interested in peer tutoring to visit the Co-Curricular Record website. Students can also access this information via blackboard, My Apps, Co-Curricular Record. Find the “Peer Tutoring” organization and click on “Forms”.

If you would like to recommend a student(s) to be a Peer Tutor(s) for a specific course(s), please send a list of names, student IDs and courses (ie: John Smith, 1234567, COMM1133) via email. Your recommendation will help to speed up the process of getting Tutors on board.

Please note that students may approach you for your signature on his/her Tutor’s Application.

The staff at the Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership would appreciate the opportunity to meet with students to let them know about the Peer Tutoring service available. If you would like a staff member to make a five minute presentation during your class, please contact Josie Tremonte, Peer Tutoring Facilitator or Tarynne Foster, Peer Tutoring Assistant, to schedule a visit.

The Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership offices are located at: W206 at Niagara-on-the-Lake and L20 in Welland.
