NC Marketing students had an opportunity to demonstrate their skills at the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition (OCMC).
Held at Centennial College on Nov. 15 and 16, the event brought hundreds of highly motivated business students from across the province together to showcase their talents and earn top awards for teamwork and strategic thinking.
Students from the College’s Business Administration Marketing, and Business Sales and Marketing programs participated.
“We are proud of our team’s efforts,” said Terri Champion, professor, School of Business and Entrepreneurship. “Our small but mighty team achieved some recognition.”
How did NC students fare? NC achievements included:
Second place winners in the Marketing case event: Rob DeJaray and Jesse Scott (Sales and Marketing program);
Third place winners in the Entrepreneurship case event: Mag Allenby and Jesse Scott (Sales and Marketing program);
Third place in the Quiz Bowl: Tina Terescsik (BA Marketing program);
Fourth place in the Sales Account Management case event: Matt Jenkins and Steve D’Amico (Sales and Marketing program); and
Fifth place in the Integrated Marketing Communications case event: Tim Cole and Vanessa Gill (Sales and Marketing Program).
