We’re offering 10 lucky InsideNC readers the opportunity to win free passes to this Friday’s 3rd annual Peninsula Hoop Classic – the annual basketball games between the NC Knights and Brock Badgers that benefit the United Way.
Tomorrow, we’ll post a Knights trivia question on InsideNC at 9 a.m. At 4 p.m., we’ll randomly draw five winners from those who respond correctly.
The second batch of winners will be determined through a photo contest, so bring your camera, camera phone or personal photographer! Starting now, photos showing “Knights Spirit” will be accepted via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for entries is 3 p.m. Thursday. An expert panel of judges will select five winners.
The Peninsula Hoop Classic is part of an exciting day on Friday, September 28 that will include NC’s participation in National Jersey Day during the day, and the basketball games at night.
Jersey Day is a national day for Canadians to show their enthusiasm and support for sport, and all NC students and staff are encouraged to wear their favourite jersey, team or club uniform to school/work that day.
Doors open for the Hoop Classic at 5:30 pm, and the women’s teams will tip off at 6 pm, with the men’s game scheduled for an 8 pm start. Tickets are available at the door, and prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students over age 16. Anyone under 16 is admitted for free. Students can get in for free and adults can get $2 off admission if they wear blue and bring a non-perishable food donation for NC’s Student Administrative Council Food Bank.
