Walter Greczko, chair, School of Justice Studies, is very pleased to announce that Cindy McDonald will be joining NC’s School of Justice Studies team as a full-time professor.
McDonald will be joining NC from the Toronto Police Service where she attained the rank of Detective Staff Sergeant.
She has an extensive policing background, having served in various investigative and uniform units including Primary Response, Criminal Investigations, Professional Standards, Sex Crimes Unit, Major Crime Unit and Community Response. She also spent time as an instructor and supervisor at the Ontario Police College.
McDonald is an active volunteer with several community agencies and is a member of the board of Leave Out Violence Toronto. Cindy has a degree in Justice Studies from Guelph-Humber and a diploma in Advanced Leadership from Humber College.
McDonald is scheduled to begin her new position on Aug. 13. Her extension number will be 7682.
