NC employees invited to sign up for workshops

The Centre for Educational and Professional Development office has scheduled the following Homewood Human Solutions workshops for Niagara College employees during the mid-term break.

If you are interested in attending one of the following workshops, please contact the CEPD office at cepd@niagaracollege.ca by Friday, February 17.There are a minimum number of attendees that are required per workshop and if these numbers are not met, the workshops will  be cancelled.

Whatever the emotional response, retirement marks a transition to a new life stage in which daily routines, identity and roles all change. This session will introduce participants to the emotional effects of retirement. Participants will get an opportunity to reflect on what their ideal retirement looks like and what they can do to make it happen.

Conflicts stem from many different sources. Understanding when, and how, to apply a variety of different conflict resolution strategies can prevent unnecessary hardship. This session explores strategies to defuse anger and conflict so that difficult situations in the workplace can be resolved respectfully.
