Take a nature trip to Trinidad

Margaret Pickles, professor of science at Niagara College and a member of the Niagara Falls Nature Club, is organizing a nature tour to Trinidad for April 14-22, 2012.

The group will be based at Asa Wright Nature Centre and will be taking field trips with local guides to a variety of habitats around the island. Their focus will be birds but the group will also see tropical plants, butterflies and other animals.

A highlight of the trip will be an evening visit to Matura Beach to see the Leatherback turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.

Joining this friendly group is a great opportunity for an independent traveller.

A few spaces are still left. Those interested in exploring the many wonders of Trinidad please contact Margaret by January 30 at mpickles@niagaracollege.ca
