The Community and Health Studies Division has welcomed a new full-time faculty member in the Early Childhood Education program, Angela Hayes.
Prior to joining Niagara College, Hayes worked in children’s mental health services. She has been providing treatment and assessment to families, childcare centres, and schools regarding children’s behavior and development.
She comes to NC with a Master’s in Education, as well as a diploma in Early Childhood Education and Child Life Studies.
Hayes has worked in a range of settings from clinics and classrooms to hospitals and rural communities. She has spent time in teaching settings with educators, parents and colleagues on topics from the impact of trauma on children’s development to how to support social/emotional development within the academic curriculum.
Hayes has been working with the preschool population for the last 15 years of her career.
