Health and Safety Information

The Health and Safety department at Niagara College is involved in a number of different initiatives, including Emergency Planning, Safety Training, and the resolution of any Health and Safety issues that develop at the college. If you have any questions or concerns about our programs or documents, please feel free to contact the department.

Emergency Documents

Emergency Preparedness Plan:
This Plan was created to identify emergency measures that may have to be taken to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of Niagara College staff, students, and facilities when faced with an emergency. It is intended to increase the emergency response capability of the College by identifying a plan to employ the emergency services of both the College and external vital services.

Emergency Response Reference Guide:
This Guide was distributed to all staff in the Fall 2007 term and updated in March 2008 online. This is a desk-top document that contains concise information on how to respond at the on-set of various emergency situations.

All staff should review and become familiar with both of these emergency documents.
