Academic Divisions and Schools of Study
The NOTL Campus, home to our Environment, Horticulture and Agribusiness division, is a 27.5 hectare living laboratory, nestled at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment, which creates a unique opportunity for our students to relate their environmental, horticultural and landscape studies to an actual 25-year development plan. Staff and students in this division are very involved in making the College’s landscape plan for the campus become a reality. The 20,000 sq. ft. greenhouse complex with a state-of-the-art climate-control system, includes a teaching lab and classroom, designed for subject areas such as practical horticulture, floral design and ecosystem restoration.
The School of Horticulture and Agribusiness is home to Canada’s only teaching winery. Located in the Niagara peninsula wine region, the Niagara College Teaching Winery forms an integral part of training for students pursuing careers in the wine industry. Part of its overall plan is to develop a Wine Discovery and Education Centre to promote and educate the public on VQA wines and Ontario wines. The Teaching Winery complements our existing Jack Forrer Vineyard - a six-acre teaching and research vineyard. The wine is retailed on site and proceeds from sales help finance the educational endeavours of our students. Contact Information:
