How to Make a Gift to Niagara College

The Foundation welcomes all forms of giving including:

• Cash in one-time payments or multi-year pledges by cheque or credit card
• Appreciated securities - taxable gains are eliminated when transferring securities to a charitable organization
• Gifts-in-kind of equipment and other in-kind giving
• Future gifts, such as bequests and life insurance
• In memory of a loved one
• In honour of an individual to whom you would like to pay special tribute
• In celebration of a special occasion such as a birthday, wedding, anniversary, retirement, graduation, or any other special occasion

Scholarships and Bursaries

Endowment Funds – Your Investment in Success

Please consider creating a legacy in the name of a company, service club or association, or in honour of a family member or retiree.

Your gift will be matched with an additional $1.50 through the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS) Program, matches private and corporate cash donations to endowed student awards. Investment income generated by these endowment funds will support bursaries in perpetuity for students in financial need.

The OTSS program greatly enhances the impact of your generous contribution. It also presents an outstanding opportunity to make an extraordinary investment in enriching the lives of Niagara College students and in the vitality of our communities.

Gifts Designated to a Specific School or Department Cause

Your gift may be a cash donation to purchase books for the library or landscaping for the horticultural centre. We also are grateful for gifts of equipment for our skills and technical programs.

Matching Funds

Many companies employing graduates of Niagara College will match a gift made by one of our alumni, or their spouse.

To double your gift to Niagara College:

1. 1. Ask the human resources department or the corporate donations officer in your company to give you information on your company's matching gift policies.
