Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

OSAP Distribution Schedule / ID Requirements

Niagara College is committed to getting your OSAP loans to you as quickly and efficiently as possible. To help us help you, please review the following.

Important: You will not be receiving funds at the time of your loan pick up. Funds will be forwarded to your financial institution and/or bank account approximately 7 to 10 business days from the date that your loan document is picked up and processed.

Important: Acceptable Identification will be required. Your loan can only be released with two proper forms of identification:

  • Social Insurance Card
    and
  • One of the following valid Government issued photo identification:
    » Valid Drivers License
    » Valid passport
    » Age of Majority Card issued by LCBO
    » Photo Health Card

To process your loan, you will be required to provide a:

  • Bank account number, transit number, and bank ID code
    OR
  • Blank void cheque

Loan Document Distribution Schedule(s):

2010 Fall Term OSAP Distribution
8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Beginning Monday, August 23, 2010
(Distribution will run for 4 weeks at these locations)

For programs with a term start date after September 8, 2010,
see note below.

Loan documents are picked up at the campus you will be attending. For students attending the Ontario Street Site or Maid of the Mist Campus, your loan will be available at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus (NOTL).

Important: You will not be receiving funds at the time of your loan pick up. Once your loan has been picked up and processed, funds will be forwarded to your financial institution and/or bank account approximately 7 to 10 business days from the start of classes.

Location(s):

  • Welland Campus:
    • August 23 - September 3 at the Financial Aid Office, SE103
    • September 7 - September 17 outside of the Hamilton Room
  • Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus (NOTL): in the Library
  • Ontario Street Site or Maid of the Mist Campus - Pick up at the NOTL Campus

Note: Programs with term start date after September 8, 2010

For the Business Administration- Professional Golf Management program - the first day to pick up OSAP loan document is September 13, 2010 in the Library at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus.

For Programs that begin October 12, 2010 - The first day to pick up OSAP documents will be September 27, 2010 at the Financial Aid & Awards office at the campus you attend.

NOTE: BANKING INFORMATION PROVIDED WHEN PROCESSING PREVIOUS OSAP LOAN DOCUMENTS IS NOT KEPT ON FILE.

YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR BANKING INFORMATION EACH TIME YOU PICK UP AN OSAP LOAN DOCUMENT.

Please pick up your loan document at the campus you attend with your proper identification.
