Drop a Course

Refer to Important Dates for dates and deadlines, including the last day to withdraw with a refund, and the last day to register/change sections.

About Dropping a Course

  • Courses can be dropped in MyNC by following these instructions.
  • If you do not drop a course on or before the correct date (see the Drop Rules table) you will be assigned a final grade for the course(s).
  • Final grades will become part of your student record and will remain on your transcript. Requests to remove these grades because you were not attending will be denied.
  • If you would like to drop a course and receive a refund, read more here.
  • Important: If you do not officially withdraw, you will be responsible for the payment of your fees, even if you do not attend classes or if your OSAP is denied. Non-attendance, telling your professor or OSAP denied does not constitute an official withdrawal.

Want to withdraw from your program?

Program Withdrawal Forms are available online and in the Office of the Registar (Welland Campus SE105 or Niagara on the Lake Campus W109). If you are unable to come to the College to withdraw in person, please call the Office of the Registrar at 905-735-2211 extension 7500.
