Campus Safety and Emergencies

The Department of Campus Safety is committed in promoting a safe and secure environment where to learn, work and visit. In partnership with our stakeholders we provide dedicated service with diligence, integrity and mutual respect.

Campus Closures

Please visit the Inclement Weather and Closures page for detailed information on where and how to be notified in case of a closure, and closure policies and procedures.

The Niagara College Emergency Management Plan (EMP) serves as a strategic framework and operational guideline for managing an effective and coordinated response to any emergency situation impacting the College.

This plan is a living document; updated on a regular basis to reflect evolving hazards and threats within the College and surrounding communities.

To review emergency guidelines, and for personal preparedness information, visit the Campus Safety website.

Urgent Notification System

Niagara College has an urgent notification system called NCALERT. This system sends out SMS text messages, emails and automated phone calls with urgent (ex. closure) or emergency (ex. lockdown) information. Our 2nd notification system, NCBB, can send out alerts about changes and notifications on your Blackboard courses. Both NCALERT and NCBB are opt-in services.
