Course Title: Foundations of Child & Youth Care IIView Course Outline
Admit Term: 2019 Winter 1191
Students will be given the opportunity to practice individual case planning using current theoretical principles such as the ecological perspective. Emphasis will be on the analysis and evaluation of the relationships surrounding the child or youth. This course will present generic referral/resource networking skills, general administrative documentation procedures and the fundamentals of assessment, problem identification and treatment planning using case studies. Students will be encouraged to examine variables that affect children and youths' behaviour and responsibility as well as the effects on the child and youth care practitioner.
