Description

This course will provide the opportunity to practice a wide variety of counselling techniques and communication skills using role play, to be used to develop and maintain relationships with children and youth. The course will demonstrate a client centred and strengths based approach in promoting positive change. The student will learn to assist children and youth in developing their problem solving skills and promote empowerment. The student will learn how their personal values and beliefs impact their professional skills.
