Description

This course is designed to introduce the student to the various exceptionalities in children. Topics will include exceptionality groupings, risk factors, developmental consequences as well as various methods of intervention. The student will become familiar with: the basic framework for counselling/assisting exceptional children, assessment and individualized treatment planning, working with families, program planning, and evaluation.
