Description

You will be introduced to the biology, evolution and history of cannabis. Explore the influence of human cultivation on the evolution of cannabis and the reasons for human interest in cannabis. Identify the dioecious nature and photoperiodic responses of the cannabis plant and the influence human cultivation has had on these characteristics. Students will analyze the biochemicals that impart unique properties to the cannabis palm and investigate the complex biosynthetic pathways that contribute to their development. Students will also assess how these biochemicals interact with the human body and contribute to the psychoactive properties of cannabis.
