Counselling Services - Student Services Division: The Counselling office is a vital part of the Student Services division, offering confidential services to all present and prospective students of Niagara College. The range of services begins with advising on admission to college.
Community resources can be accessed at the following web sites:
''Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will sit softly on your shoulder.''
For Students & Community Clients
Topics include Continuing Education and On-line courses, transfer to university and other colleges’ procedures, upgrading/Peer Tutoring referrals, counselling for academic difficulties and information on note taking, study and test skills. Community clients are able to discuss matters related to admission requirements, transfer options, admission testing and application processes. Counsellors can also assist with exploration of career interests (some fees may apply), job market information and college placement statistics, and liaison with community agencies and sponsors. Students may seek counselling support regarding personal issues, stress management, problem solving, budgeting, and referral to community services.
