Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
OSAP is Ontario’s flagship student support program, offering a mix of grants and loans to thousands of students each year to help finance their college education. For the first 6 months after you graduate, finish your studies, or stop being a full-time college or university students, you don’t need to make any loan payments and no interest is charged on the Ontario portion of your student loan.
If you’re having trouble making your required monthly payments, you could be eligible to lower your payments so they’re more affordable, and very low income-earners make no payments until income grows to a certain level.
