Information and Instructions for Welder Testing
The Welder Testing facility is located at the Niagara College Welland Campus at 300 Woodlawn Road, Welland. The Welding Shop is located in the Technology Skills Centre, Room TC40.
NOTE - Payment is required in advance
CWB is responsible for final decisions on all testing. Candidates are allowed 1 hour maximum per position. CWB Testing per person cost as follows:

TSSA is responsible for final decisions on all testing. TSSA Testing per person cost as follows:

You must bring your payment receipt AND the following equipment with you on test day:
- safety boots and glasses
- welding shield
- welding gloves
- chipping hammer
- wire brush
- leather sleeves or jacket
- ball peen hammer
- mini grinder with wire wheel (CWB)
- grinding disk
- cold chisel
Test Results
Test results are mailed to Niagara College in 2-4 weeks. When they are received, you will be notified. After that time, you will make arrangements to pick them up personally. Your results will be in the form of a Welder Test Record from the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) or Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA).
