Sustainability Home

As a leading post-secondary institution with a reputation for innovative environmental programs and applied research, Niagara College is committed to developing a culture of sustainability and integrating its knowledge within the college community.

Niagara College aspires to become a leader in sustainable development and a contributor to sustainability in the Niagara region. We will offer our students, staff and faculty an opportunity to provide feedback on operational standards, policies and procedures to ensure we adhere to the highest standards, and to ensure the transparency of our organization. Input and collaboration from all areas within Niagara College will drive our sustainability objectives and targets. We will design a program to infuse awareness about sustainability into our educational curricula. Niagara College will foster partnerships with organizations that share similar sustainability ideals and external contracts will be evaluated to include sustainability as an important selection criterion.

It is the intention of Niagara College to cultivate positive collaboration with the Niagara Region and higher academic communities to foster applied research and sustainability initiatives within the college and the community, and to ensure best practice sharing. We hope to learn from and share with our community as we work toward sustainability, and will strive to continuously improve our performance.
