Career Opportunities

The Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program prepares graduates for employment in the expanding brewery, microbrewery and brewpub industries. The program provides significant hands-on training on-site and includes specialized instruction in brewing technology, brewery operations, sales management and advanced business applications specific to beer-related or brewery-related business sectors.

  • NEW: Through a new partnership agreement with Olds College, the Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program will also be offered at Olds College, Alberta in Fall of 2013.

Admission Requirements

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, including the following required courses:

  • English - any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent
  • Mathematics - any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent
  • Biology - Grade 11 (C) or (U) or Grade 12 (U) OR
  • Chemistry - Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (C) or (U)

Additional Requirements for Admission:

  • Students are required to be a minimum of 19 years of age by the start of classes.
  • Portfolio submission

Selection and Ranking Process:

  • For competitive programs (the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available places), selection will be based on the highest senior level final grade available at the time of ranking. Mid-term grades are not used for ranking purposes.
  • Testing or other supplemental evaluation may be required.

Future Study Options

Niagara College offers post graduate certificate options in several study areas to qualified College and University graduates. These certificates can add to your existing credentials and prepare you for the world of work.
