Career Opportunities

This program has been developed to meet the need for trained workers in the construction renovation industry. This industry continues to experience rapid growth as more consumers choose to renovate/improve existing buildings.

The program will prepare students to enter this dynamic industry with the skills necessary to work safely and efficiently.

The students will develop practical construction skills through "hands-on" activities, while also gaining a basic understanding of the planning, estimating, management and delivery of a typical renovation project. This program shares a common first-year with Niagara College's Construction Techniques certificate program.

Graduates find employment as:

  • General contractor
  • Renovation specialist
  • Custom home building
  • Project management
  • Commercial construction
  • Commercial and residential building restoration
  • Retail - building supplies, lumberyards and building centres

The NC Difference

  • Demand for graduates is high in Niagara and throughout Ontario
  • Program Outline integrates academic instruction and hands-on learning

Niagara College's teaching practices adheres to Renomark's code of conduct.
