The NC Difference

  • Program provides a solid foundation for student success and provides the student with the necessary professional skills when they enter the business world
  • Students will receive a thorough education in Business fundamentals and will select additional courses based on their individual interests
  • For example, students may augment their business courses with a few courses from various other disciplines to take over management of a family enterprise (horticulture, hospitality, culinary and environmental etc.) and to capitalize on evolving opportunities such as the growing "Green Business" movement
  • Program is committed to providing the maximum flexibility in transferring courses from prior business studies from Niagara College and other comparable institutions and universities, such as Niagara University

Admission Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, including the following required courses:
    • English - any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent.

Recommended Courses and/or Recommended Skills (Not Required for Admission):

  • Mathematics - any Grade 12 (C) or (U).

Selection and Ranking Process:

  • For competitive programs (the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available places), selection will be based on the highest senior level final grade available at the time of ranking. Mid-term grades are not used for ranking purposes.
  • Testing or other supplemental evaluation may be required.

Note:

  • Secondary School grades from co-op courses and half credit courses are not considered.

Educational Pathways

Niagara College has articulated agreements providing students with degree completion and credit transfer opportunities with many other colleges and universities.
