Business - Accounting (Academic)

Two Years | Ontario College Diploma
Program Code 0423
Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus

The Program Outline was very practical with many hands-on assignments. I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in a business diploma.

Career Opportunities

It's a numbers universe, and competence in accounting will help you master it. If you appreciate numbers and details, acquire the knowledge and skills you'll need to succeed in financial and managerial accounting roles.

Graduates of this program enter careers directly as:

  • Auditors in government or industry
  • Financial analysts
  • Investment consultants or analysts
  • Junior accountants in public accounting
  • Junior/intermediate cost accountants
  • Junior/intermediate general accountants
  • Management trainees in banks and other financial institutions

The NC Difference

  • Case studies, computer applications and role-playing provide hands-on training
  • Faculty members have a professional accounting designation
  • Students earn exemptions from the CGA program of study
  • Students can transfer directly into the three year Business Administration - Accounting (Academic or Co-op) because of the common Program Outline in the two programs
  • Graduates wanting to pursue a CGA designation can smoothly transition into a university program through articulation agreements
