Admission Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, including the following required courses:
  • English - Grade 12 (U), or equivalent (minimum 60%).
  • Five additional Grade 12 (U) or (M) level courses in any field of study.
  • An overall average of 65% in the six required Grade 12 (U) or (M) courses.

Recommended Courses and/or Recommended Skills
(Not Required for Admission):

  • Mathematics - any Grade 12 (C) or (U).

Selection & Ranking Process:

  • For competitive programs (the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available places), selection will be based on the highest senior level final grade available at the time of ranking.
  • Mid-term grades are not used for ranking purposes.
  • Final applicant selection will be based on academic performance in required courses.
  • Testing or other supplemental evaluation may be required.

Note:

  • Secondary School grades from co-op courses and half credit courses are not considered.

Transportation:

  • Students are responsible for their own transportation in order to complete work placement requirements. Niagara cannot guarantee placements that are readily accessible by public transportation. Students are responsible for all costs connected with such transportation.

Niagara College has been granted a consent by the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities to offer this applied degree for a seven-year term starting October 17, 2008. Niagara College shall ensure that all students admitted to the above named program during the period of consent will have the opportunity to complete the program within a reasonable time frame.
