Debra Grobb,
Literacy and Basic Skills graduate

"The LBS course prepared me for my fall studies in the Social Service Worker program and helped me achieve my short-term goals. I would hate to think of where I might be in my schooling without the service of LBS."

Literacy and Basic Skills student

"I learned what employers want in an employee, and identified my transferable skills. In the process, I felt better about myself, and my chances for re-entering the workplace. I learned to be a team player, felt a closeness with the class and with my teachers. I received motivation, encouragement and concern from my teachers–they were always willing to take the time and go the extra mile."
