Career Opportunities

This innovative program introduces students to the exciting world of media and design. Students will explore a broad range of creative and technical pursuits including scriptwriting, photography and web design.

Pre-Media and Design will help students discover their passions and develop skills necessary for success in a variety of career paths.

The NC Difference

  • Provides students with transferable credits in each of Niagara College's five Media and Design programs
  • Prepares students for entrance into Media and Design programs including:
    • Acting for Film and Television

    • Graphic Design
    • Art and Design Foundation

    • New Media Web Design

Admission Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, including the following required courses:
  • English - any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent.

Selection and Ranking Process:

  • For competitive programs (the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available places), selection will be based on the highest senior level final grade available at the time of ranking. Mid-term grades are not used for ranking purposes.
  • Testing or other supplemental evaluation may be required.

Note:

  • Secondary School grades from co-op courses and half credit courses are not considered.

Educational Pathways

Niagara College has articulated agreements providing students with degree completion and credit transfer opportunities with many other colleges and universities.
