About This Certificate

Creating or facilitating an online course is, in many ways, different than developing or presenting a course in the more traditional, classroom environment.

Discover how to identify these differences and explore the innovative possibilities for formatting and delivering online materials.

Program Delivery

Individual courses are open to all students whether or not they are working toward the certificate.

Prerequisites may be required for these courses. Please refer to individual course descriptions for specific requirements.

Important Notes

Introduction to On-line Delivery (ADED1003) is replacing Principles of Adult Education (ADED1027). Prior to January 2010, Principles of Adult Education (ADED1027) will be recognized as part of the Teaching On-line Certificate.

Career Opportunities

This certificate prepares qualified individuals for positions in teaching adults in an online environment.

Obtaining Your Certificate (Application for Graduation)

Upon completion of all requirements, the student must complete an “Application For Graduation” form available from the Registrar’s Office.

If the student wishes to have their certificate presented to them at convocation ceremony in the Fall, there is a $25 fee.

Application, accompanied by fee (if applicable) must be forwarded to Registration and Records, Office of the Registrar before the application deadline.
