About This Certificate

This certificate has been designed to assist in preparing you for a professional career as a Nail Technician.

Through a balanced approach of theory, demonstration and practical application, you will gain the knowledge and skills to be able to provide professional services offered in today’s salons and spas.

Program Delivery

Individual courses are open to all students whether or not they are working toward the certificate.

Prerequisites may be required for these courses. Please refer to individual course descriptions for specific requirements.

This certificate prepares individuals to work in one of the fastest growing areas of the beauty industry – nail care. This growth has created a need for properly trained Nail Technicians.

It will allow you to work independently as a Nail Technician providing clients with traditional service from manicures, pedicures to therapeutic hand and foot treatments.

Certificate Benefits

Credits earned from successfully completing this certificate can be applied for credit towards Niagara College’s full time Esthetician post secondary program.

Obtaining Your Certificate (Application for Graduation)

Upon completion of all requirements, the student must complete an “Application For Graduation” form available from the Registrar’s Office.

If the student wishes to have their certificate presented to them at convocation ceremony in the Fall, there is a $25 fee.

Application, accompanied by fee (if applicable) must be forwarded to Registration and Records, Office of the Registrar before the application deadline.
