About This Certificate

The Management of Human Resources Certificate will provide you with the essential tools necessary to effectively function in the area of human resources.

Completion of the certificate will provide you with the opportunity to complete the academic requirements necessary to write the National Knowledge Exam (NKE) for the Human Resource Professional Association (HRPA) CHRP designation.

NOTE:  In addition to completing these academic requirements, a university degree will be required in order to obtain your CHRP designation.

Program Delivery

Individual courses are open to all students whether or not they are working toward the certificate.

Prerequisites may be required for these courses. Please refer to individual course descriptions for specific requirements.

Important Notes

  • PERS1301 or PERS1703 (Human Resource Management) course is a prerequisite for all courses listed in the Human Resources Certificate..

Career Opportunities

This certificate prepares graduates for entry level positions in the area of Human Resources management.

Certificate Benefits

Students can complete a certificate while earning credits towards their CHRP designation and/or full-time diploma.

Obtaining Your Certificate (Application for Graduation)

Upon completion of all requirements, the student must complete an “Application For Graduation” form available from the Registrar’s Office.

If the student wishes to have their certificate presented to them at convocation ceremony in the Fall, there is a $25 fee.

Application, accompanied by fee (if applicable) must be forwarded to Registration and Records, Office of the Registrar before the application deadline.
