About This Certificate

If you are looking for a dynamic career or are currently employed in the area of customs and freight forwarding, custom brokerage or importing and exporting of goods, this certificate is ideal for you.

This 9 course program affords you with the basic knowledge of the justice system, Canadian social and political structures, human behavior, practices and procedures related to customs and logistics and legal issues surrounding customs and logistics.

Program Delivery

Individual courses are open to all students whether or not they are working toward the certificate.

Prerequisites may be required for these courses. Please refer to individual course descriptions for specific requirements.

Important Notes

  • To qualify for the certificate, individuals will be required to have a college diploma.
  • Grade 12 business math or equivalent is a recommended prerequisite. A copy of the college diploma in a related discipline must be given to the registrar’s office along with the “application to graduate” to be eligible to graduate.

Career Opportunities

This certificate prepares graduates for positions with customs brokerages and private businesses in logistics and freight forwarding.

Obtaining Your Certificate (Application for Graduation)

Upon completion of all requirements, the student must complete an “Application For Graduation” form available from the Registrar’s Office.

If the student wishes to have their certificate presented to them at convocation ceremony in the Fall, there is a $25 fee.

Application, accompanied by fee (if applicable) must be forwarded to Registration and Records, Office of the Registrar before the application deadline.
