CE Course Equivalencies

Look to Niagara College Continuing Education to offer you a variety of courses that you can use as equivalencies towards a certificate or designation from associations such as:

 

AAA Equivalencies

The Association of Administrative Assistants is a Canadian chartered non-profit professional organization founded in April 1951. The Association is proactive in encouraging its members to further their education and enhance their career opportunities by continuously upgrading their skills and professionalism. Association members are encouraged to obtain the Qualified Administrative Assistant (Q.A.A.) designation. The Qualified Administrative Assistant Program consists of three compulsory courses and four elective courses offered at eighteen post secondary institutions across Canada. The first graduating class was in May 1960. In May 2012, the Q.A.A. designation was awarded to our 715th graduate.

CGA Equivalencies

In today's competitive job market, you want a career that will make you competitive. The CGA designation will give you that distinctive edge. The CGA program of instruction will provide you with the tools necessary for you to succeed, regardless of what business career path you choose. Enrolling in the CGA program of instruction will demonstrate, without a doubt to employers, that you have the specialized knowledge, skills, dedication and integrity to be a leader. Through Niagara College Continuing Education, you have available a select list of college courses recognized by CGA as equivalent.

CIB Equivalencies

The Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to preparing you for professional positions in a financial environment. The program is comprised of nine courses that include both theory and computer applications. Practical experience is required before qualifying for certification. Upon completion of the program, students will be governed by a code of ethics that sets out professional responsibilities and conduct. Niagara College Continuing Education provides you with the opportunity to take courses that you can apply towards the CIB academic requirements.

CIM Equivalencies

The Canadian Institute of Management (CIM) is Canada's senior management association. It has been leading the way for the promotion of higher standards in practical management that is imperative in today's competitive marketplace. As a non-profit organization, the institute is dedicated to the enhancement of managerial skills and professional development. Successful completion of required courses and membership with the CIM is needed in order to obtain the CIM certificate and designation. Niagara College Continuing Education provides you with the opportunity to take courses that you can apply towards the CIM academic requirements.

CPA Equivalencies

The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) is dedicated exclusively to meeting the needs and interest of the payroll practitioners. The CPA is a nationally recognized association representing the payroll community in Canada since 1978. Having certified more than 27,000 payroll and other business professionals, the CPA is considered the authoritative source of payroll knowledge by the Canadian payroll community. The CPA offers two levels of certification the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification and the Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certification.

HRPA Equivalencies

HRPA is the professional association for human resource management in Ontario. With more than 14,000 members across the province, HRPA is moving forward to meet the needs of the profession and business community for leading-edge human resource management. As the voice of HR experience and expertise in Ontario, the association administers the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation. The CHRP designation is a nationally recognized achievement in the human resources management profession. Niagara College Continuing Education provides you with the opportunity to take courses that you can apply towards the HRPA academic requirements.

PMAC Equivalencies

The Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC is the national, not-for-profit association and training agency for procurement of supply chain professionals in Canada.) The Association has more than 7,000 members working in all sectors of the Canadian economy, including retail, manufacturing and transportation, distribution, government, natural resources and service sectors.
