CGA Equivalencies

CIB Equivalencies

The Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to preparing you for professional positions in a financial environment. The program is comprised of nine courses that include both theory and computer applications. Practical experience is required before qualifying for certification. Upon completion of the program, students will be governed by a code of ethics that sets out professional responsibilities and conduct. Niagara College Continuing Education provides you with the opportunity to take courses that you can apply towards the CIB academic requirements.

The Canadian Institute of Management (CIM) is Canada's senior management association. It has been leading the way for the promotion of higher standards in practical management that is imperative in today's competitive marketplace. As a non-profit organization, the institute is dedicated to the enhancement of managerial skills and professional development. Successful completion of required courses and membership with the CIM is needed in order to obtain the CIM certificate and designation. Niagara College Continuing Education provides you with the opportunity to take courses that you can apply towards the CIM academic requirements.

CPA Equivalencies

The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) is dedicated exclusively to meeting the needs and interest of the payroll practitioners. The CPA is a nationally recognized association representing the payroll community in Canada since 1978. Having certified more than 27,000 payroll and other business professionals, the CPA is considered the authoritative source of payroll knowledge by the Canadian payroll community. The CPA offers two levels of certification the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification and the Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certification.
