About the Ontario Institute of PMAC

The Ontario Institute of PMAC is a national, not-for-profit association and training agency for procurement of supply chain professionals in Canada.

The Association has more than 40,000 members working in all sectors of the Canadian economy, including retail, manufacturing and transportation, distribution, government, natural resources and service sectors.

The Ontario Institute of PMAC is the oldest and largest professional Association in Canada for supply chain management professionals.

PMAC is responsible for issuing the Certified Professional Purchaser (C.P.P.) designation, as well as the Certificate in Supply Chain Management.

PMAC offers two separate education programs:

  1. Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program (C.P.P. designation) – for mid to senior/executive level professionals. For more details visit www.ontarioinstitute.com/education

The PMAC certificate program provides you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to launch or accelerate a successful career in supply management. You can complete a single course, certificate seminar or the full program (no prerequisites or practical experience required).

  1. Certificate in Supply Management – for entry level practitioners
    (This certification has replaces the Principle bases curriculum)

Niagara College Continuing Education provides you with the opportunity to take courses that you can apply towards the requirements for the PMAC - Certificate in Supply Management.


Program Delivery

Prerequisites may be required for these courses. Please refer to individual course descriptions for specific requirements.

Individual courses are open to all students whether or not they are working toward the academic requirements of this certification.

Important Notes

The Certificate in Supply Management is distinct from the Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program, and cannot be applied towards the C.P.P. accreditation.

Obtaining Your Equivalencies

To obtain credit for equivalency courses taken, individuals will be required to submit their application to the Ontario Institute of PMAC.
