About This Certificate
This certificate will help prepare you to obtain the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification, which has become one of the most recognized industry credentials among networking professionals.
This on-line learning certificate will provide you with a solid background in basic networking concepts and CISCO hardware.
It will also prepare you for more advanced studies in networking technology at the associate level.
The CCNA certification centers on teaching students to maintain computer networks and configure Cisco routers and switches. All courses are taught by a CISCO CCNA certified instructor.
Program Delivery
Individual courses are open to all students whether or not they are working toward the certificate as long as stated prerequisites are met.
Prerequisites may be required for these courses. Please refer to individual course descriptions for specific requirements.
Important Notes
MSCT 1460, MSCT 1470, MSCT 1480, and MSCT 1490 will continue to be accepted toward completion of this Certificate program.

This certificate prepares graduates for employment in an expansive array of contemporary computer-managed occupational and career environments.
The Cisco Certified Network Associate validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size route and switched networks.
You could also be responsible for implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN.

Certificate Benefits
This state-of-the-art curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills.
This curriculum also includes the use of the following protocols: Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), IP, Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol, VLANs, Ethernet, and access control lists (ACLs).
This certificate provides an opportunity for you to venture into an ever-expanding array of new career possibilities.
Obtaining Your Certificate (Graduation)
Upon completion of all requirements, the student must complete an “application to graduate” form available from the Registrar’s Office. Students will be required to pay a $25 fee to attend the convocation ceremony in the fall.
The fee is payable with the “application to graduate” form. Applications and fees are to be returned to the Registrar’s Office. For more information, contact the Registrar’s Office.
